Woman with a white belt doing Tai ChiTai Chi is sometimes described as moving meditation and combines both offensive and defensive applications. Movements are so varied that every part of the body engages. Each harmonious form flows with the grace of a specific aspect of nature and works with nature’s energy. Examples include the swaying motion of willow branches being coerced by a gentle breeze or clouds slowly changing in shape or form. Movements are slow and deliberate without force or power. The speed of the breathing matches the speed of the movement.
